Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor

Major Duties:
Plan distribution of work to subordinates, maintains balanced workloads for work groups. Assures that Utility Systems operations are proceeding according to schedule, and preventive maintenance deadlines are met. Explain work requirements, methods, and procedures, instructs in new procedures and assists when problems arise. Recommend promotions and reassignments of subordinates, makes formal appraisal of their work performance and determines training needs for all levels of subordinate workers. Reviews and Assists with updating policy and procedures for the facility's department. To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. Ability To Lead Or Supervise 3 or more other workers in maintenance mechanic positions completing the following tasks:
Assign work to subordinate staff, plan and distribute workload, inspect work in progress, train or instruct subordinate staff, and report to supervisor on status progress of work, initiate disciplinary actions for insubordinate behavior, initiate requests for personnel actions such as promotions and recruitment. Additional examples include:
working independently in a wide range of maintenance activities, ensure maintenance and/or facility operations are carried out in accordance with appropriate policies and procedures. Use and apply standard building techniques, practices, and codes, read and understand blueprints, sketches and schematics, read and understand work orders in order to complete assigned work. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements:
Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
